Here’s a little bit of insight into my work and process, I hope it’s useful but if you still have questions, feel free to get in touch!
Custom work Process
We’ll have an initial exploration by email, phone or video (whichever suits you best) to discuss your project, the scope and the start date. When it’s time for your project to start, I’ll begin with research & initial sketches, so that we can finalise before going to start on the final piece of work and potentially make any changes. Illustrations are generally completed by hand, I’ll make a high quality scan and carry out the work to digitise the art. If the art is going to be a surface pattern design, I’ll also do this technical work at the same time. Once the final art is completed, you’ll see a proof and then files are packaged to industry standard and sent out to you.
The Collection is my catalogue of currently available art, comprising all over pattern, and placement and smaller spot pieces. The Collection is password protected and can be found here. If you’d like access, please complete the contact form and I’ll get back to you.
All work show has a unique reference number. Simply let me know via email which piece(s) you’re interested in. Colour and scale changes are possible in many cases, please contact me to discuss. Work is available to license, or exclusively.
Artwork and process
Most art is completed with watercolour, gouache, inks, acrylics, or pencils and from time to time I work all-digital if the project needs it. It really can vary project to project, and is one of the most exciting parts of the design process! Technical editing is very time consuming and may be done a piece has been purchased or licensed to make the best use of my time. Technical work is generally completed in Photoshop, Procreate, Illustrator.
